1. Data controller
The data controller is KOGNEV, providing automation, AI consulting, and process audit services in the Republic of Lithuania.

2. Data we collect
We collect only the data that you provide to us directly through contact forms, email, or calendar bookings:
- Identity data — first name, last name, company name.
- Contact data — email address, phone number (if provided).
- Enquiry content — message or description of how we can help.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type (if analytics tools are in use).
We do not collect special category personal data (health, religion, political views, etc.).
3. Purpose of processing
We process personal data for the following purposes:
- Responding to your enquiries and providing the services requested;
- Entering into and performing commercial contracts;
- Issuing invoices and fulfilling accounting obligations;
- Communicating about project progress and technical matters.
The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), contractual necessity (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), or legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
4. Retention periods
- Enquiries and correspondence — retained for up to 24 months from the last contact.
- Contract documents — retained for 10 years in accordance with Lithuanian archiving legislation.
- Accounting documents — retained for 10 years in accordance with Lithuanian accounting legislation.
After the applicable period expires, data is securely destroyed.
5. Third parties
We do not share personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. In certain cases data may be passed to trusted service providers (data processors):
- Email service provider — for receiving enquiries and communication;
- Payment processor (Stripe) — for processing payments when purchasing digital products;
- Calendar service — for booking consultations;
- Accounting system — for issuing invoices.
We enter into data processing agreements with all processors in accordance with GDPR Art. 28.
6. Cookies
This website currently does not use third-party analytics cookies or advertising tracking tools. Only technically necessary cookies required for the site to function are used.
If we introduce analytics tools in the future (e.g. Google Analytics, Plausible), we will notify you and request your consent.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights:
- Access your personal data;
- Request rectification of inaccurate data;
- Request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten");
- Restrict processing in certain circumstances;
- Data portability to another service provider;
- Withdraw consent at any time;
- Lodge a complaint with the State Data Protection Inspectorate (VDAI — Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija, vdai.lrv.lt).
